Our services

Marrickville Legal Centre offers specialised assistance to support the legal and related needs of people who are at risk or who have experienced family and domestic violence, with a focus on assisting those who have difficulty accessing the justice system or other services.

We can advise on

Family law issues including navigating the family court system;
Applying to NSW Victims Services for Victims Compensation;
Criminal law and traffic matters;
Consumer law issues,
Problems with credit, debt, financial abuse and gambling;
Discrimination issues;
Employment law;
General civil law issues, including motor vehicle accidents.

Who we assist

Domestic Violence caseworkers and support workers;
Support at court;
Help with tenancy and strata issues;
Help with applying for Private Apprehended Domestic Violence Orders;
Help with care and protection matters involving the Department of Communities and Justice.
